In this uncertain season of the Corona Virus pandemic it is easy to be overwhelmed by “What if…?” In today’s message find out how to avoid being paralyzed by “What if…?” and how PC3 is adjusting to “What is” while still keeping people connected.
In a few short weeks our lives have changed. Sports and entertainment events have been suspended, schools shut down, and many things we take for granted aren’t as accessible because of the Corona Virus. But more than this there is a sense of fear, of anxiety, blanketing our nation and the world. If we aren’t careful, it will blanket us as the Church too. It will blind us to the truth and bind us to a lie if we let it. Watch today’s message to discover why and how we can live and act in complete freedom and peace regardless of our circumstance.
Freedom: Galatians 3
There is no performance based Christianity. It’s not about what you do. It’s about what Jesus has given to you.
Freedom: Galatians 1
We sin because we believe a lie. We trust in something else rather than to trust in God.
Football Sunday 2020
Football Sunday 2020 featuring stories from members of the 49ers and Chiefs as well as NFL players Benjamin Watson, Prince Amukamara and Nate Solder sharing how God has moved profoundly in their lives.
Rest: Silence and Solitude
Even Jesus needed silence and solitude and retreated to quiet places. Shouldn’t we? Consider small changes-turning off TV for 1 hour/night, spend 10 minutes in your car during lunch, drive home without turning on the radio, visit a park/beach, etc. Silence and solitude allows us to be present to God and present to other people.
Anyone who cannot rest from work is a slave-to a need for success, to a materialistic culture, to exploitative employers, to parental expectations, or all of the above. Sabbath is a declaration of freedom. So engage in activities that are life giving instead of life taking. We worship in how we rest.
Simply Christmas: Joy
Jesus is the shepherd and the sacrifice that was needed to save us – perfect, without blemish, and why he was called the lamb of God. This is the Christmas story!
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. John 10:11 NLT
The greatest of all Christmas PRESENTS really is the PRESENCE of Jesus. In all things. At all times. You can open all of His Presence at any time by faith. Will you choose to open His Presence today?
We pray that you will.
Simply Christmas: A Promise
The story of Christmas doesn’t start in Matthew – it started long before Joseph and Mary were on the scene. It is a story of God fulfilling his promise to his people and people trying to fill their lives with everything but what God was offering. You are flesh and blood, soul and heart. Your greatest desires, your dreams, will never be found in a department store.
