Are your resources of time, energy, effort, focus, and money supporting what is most important and lasting? Or are you investing them in areas that can be stolen, lost, or reduced to dust? What Kingdom rules your resources? What Kingdom rules your relationships? Watch today’s message to discover the two things you need to do to make sure that none of the precious resources of your life are wasted and that everything you need will be provided.
The only thing we cannot get more of in life is time and what rules how we spend our allotted time on earth reflects whether it is well-spent or wasted.
Who rules your screens? Or are your screens ruling you? Smart phones, TV, computers, video game devices, tablets, smart watches and other electronic devices easily turn us into captives of technology. When we allow our screens to control us, to distract us from the truly important moments and relationships, and to steal more time from our lives than we like to admit, then we need to spend just 40 more minutes in front of a screen watching today’s message for the solution to this problem.
A central question throughout the 8 seasons of Game of Thrones is “Who is the right person to end up on the throne?” Our lives are like the theme of Game of Thrones. There is a brokenness in the soul of everyone, because we are all convinced we know better about how to run our lives than our Creator does. We directly and indirectly say “Well, I know who is best on the throne of MY life. ME!” We want to live on our own terms, even when it comes to following Jesus.
Memorial Day: How Far?
On Memorial Day, we celebrate and remember the loss of life that gave us our freedoms. Each Sunday, we proclaim and celebrate Jesus who died and was resurrected for us. As Christians, we need to invest in others so they know Christ.
Mother’s Day-Truth and Time
It is amazing how women have such an influence in the life of children and even adults by telling truth and investing time in us. Some of the most influential people in church history have been women!
Clay: Restored by Faith
Sometimes we try to change our shape-we want to be a vase instead of a bowl. God wants to restore us to what He created us to be. He wants to restore all the pieces that are out of place in our lives, but it takes an step of faith. By faith, we allow God to do the molding and shaping!
Our hearts may look/feel like a desert, dust that cannot be molded. But with a little water, it forms clay which can be molded into the form desired by the potter. Love does the molding and God is not quite finished with us. Our final form has not been completed.
God never throws away the broken pieces of our lives; He redeems all of them. He uses each one of them. What once was ugly and heartbreaking becomes beautiful and breathtaking.
“…As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” Jeremiah 18:6
